Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Richard Ruiz brings a strong athletic background and nearly a decade of coaching experience to the Houston Wildcatters. After high school, he continued his athletic career as a linebacker at Howard Payne University from 2007 to 2009, where he developed a deep understanding of discipline, teamwork, and leadership.

Transitioning into coaching in 2015, Coach Ruiz has dedicated himself to developing young athletes, instilling a strong work ethic, and preparing players for success both on and off the field. His passion for coaching and commitment to player development make him a valuable asset to the Wildcatters organization.
