FAVORITE BASEBALL PLAYER GROWING UP: Ken Griffey Jr
Dr. Marco Palacios brings a unique combination of high-level playing experience and a deep understanding of athletic performance to the Houston Wildcatters. A Bastrop, Texas native now residing in Buda, Dr. Palacios was a standout first baseman at Wayland Baptist University, where he was named Team Player of the Year in 1999 after posting an impressive .378 batting average with 13 home runs, 19 doubles, and 63 RBIs. He later played at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, finishing his collegiate career in 2000, just shy of the Rattlers’ 2001 NCAA Division II National Championship victory.
Now serving as the Central Texas Director for the Houston Wildcatters, Dr. Palacios also leads both the 12U Majors and 12U AAA teams. With his background as a Doctor of Chiropractic, he brings a unique perspective on player health, biomechanics, and injury prevention, ensuring his athletes develop both physically and mentally for the next level. His leadership and dedication to the game make him an invaluable asset to the Wildcatters organization.
