Coach JP Pina brings over 14 years of baseball coaching experience and a deep love for the game. A four-year varsity letterman at Bastrop High School, JP held down the shortstop position while also earning two letters in football. He went on to play collegiate baseball as a starting middle infielder at Huston-Tillotson University for two years before choosing to focus on academics.

JP earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Texas State University and has since dedicated himself to player development both on and off the field. While baseball is his primary focus, he also spent one season coaching softball, further broadening his coaching experience.

With a strong foundation in both athletics and academics, Coach Pina is passionate about teaching the game the right way—emphasizing fundamentals, discipline, and a team-first mentality.
