Coach Barnes is a highly accomplished coach and former professional baseball player with 8 years of coaching experience. Born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas, he attended Fort Bend Austin High School before becoming a standout at Texas Tech University, where he was a 3-time All-American and earned Big 12 Freshman of the Yearhonors.

In 2012, Coach Barnes was selected as a 1st-round draft pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Over the course of his professional career, he excelled across multiple levels, earning recognition as the Double-A MVP for the Pirates organization.

Following his playing career, Coach Barnes transitioned into coaching, bringing a high level of experience, knowledge, and leadership to the field. He most recently served as the outfield and first base coach at the University of Houston, helping develop players at the Division I level. Known for his energy, passion, and commitment to player development, Coach Barnes continues to impact the game by mentoring athletes and preparing them for success at the next level.
